Abstract Ursula K. Le Guin, known as the queen of the fantasy, is one of the most important writers in American science fiction. Her science fiction The Left Hand of Darkness is the representative work of The Ekumen. From the view of Genly Ai, the envoy of Ekumen, the book exhibits a total different world of the Planet Gethen, from its geographical conditions, cultural patterns to its sexual characteristics - androgyny. From the perspective of feminism, this thesis discusses Genly Ai’s progress of his change in his sexuality and gender cognition from his contradiction to androgynous Gethenian, gradual elimination of his male perspective to the forming of his new sexuality. It is hoped that it could infer the way in which we relate to the opposite sex from Genly’s experience.51881

摘要厄休拉·勒奎恩是美国科幻小说领域最重要的作家之一，被誉为世界幻想文坛的女王，她的科幻小说《黑暗的左手》是伊库盟系列的代表作。该书以作为伊库盟特使金利·艾在格森星球的所见所闻为线索，展现了格森星独特的地理环境、文化特征，以及格森人双性同体的性别特征。本文从女性主义的角度出发，探讨金利·艾从作为一名男性与雌雄同体世界的难以融合，到其男性观点逐步消除，直到形成新的性别认知的过程，希望从中探究两性间相处之道。
