Abstract As is known to all, tourism English provides opportunities for communication and understanding among people with different cultural backgrounds, and translation serves as a very significant communication tool in tourism. However, the current situation of tourism English translation worries most of the translation-relevant workers and the corresponding strategies are thus put forward to respond to it. Common problems and obstacles in the tourism English translation are also analyzed. Cultural differences and corresponding coping strategies are important components worth considering in the process of tourism translation. In translation, the translator need to make the best use of their imagination to understand the text, what’s more, they, from the readers’ point of view, should consider the specific form and content of translation, and develop translation creativity. This paper also specifically analyzes inevitability in creative tourism translation, and finally brings forward some creative methods in tourism English translation.61206

摘要众所周知，旅游英语为不同文化背景下的人们提供交流和相互了解的机会，翻译扮演着重要的交际工具的角色。但是，当前的旅游英语翻译令大多数与翻译相关的工作者忧心，针对此现象，本文提出了一些相应的对策。此文还分析旅游英语翻译中的常见问题和障碍。文化差异及其应对策略也是旅游英语翻译过程中最值得考虑的重要内容。在翻译中，译者需要充分利用他们的想象去理解目的文本，此外还应从读者角度出发，考虑翻译的特定内容和形式，从而形成翻译的创造性。本文还专门分析了创造性的进行旅游英语翻译的必然性，并且提出了一些创造性翻译旅游英语的方法。

     The first part generally analyzes the studies and papers conducted or produced before by some scholars. In this part, several typical and representative ones will be concluded. Secondly, the following part mainly focuses its attention on the current awkward situation of tourism English translation and the corresponding solutions. This part attaches great importance to the common problems we may encounter in the process of translating tourism English. Then, the next part makes an analysis of the necessity of creativity in tourism English translation. In this part, three points will be discussed in a detailed manner, including the gap between different cultures, the rhetoric and expression habits as well as readers’ requirement for a less complex version of translation.
