AbstractWith the pace of the new curriculum reform in China, English elementary education develops unceasingly as well as the teaching method。 The story teaching method is one of them。 The story teaching method not only meets the requirements of the new curriculum for primary English teaching, but also can stimulate the learning initiative of students to their utmost, improve the enthusiasm of students’ learning and enhance their learning efficiency。 Through describing the current situations and problems of primary English teaching in China, this paper discusses the application of story teaching method in lower grades, middle grades and higher grades respectively, analyzes some noticeable problems of story teaching method in primary English teaching, and puts great emphasis on the importance of story teaching method。 Finally, this paper puts forwards the defects and gives relevant suggestions。76497

摘要随着中国新课程改革的步伐,中国英语基础教育不断发展,教学方法也得以不断创新。故事教学法便是一种新型的英语教学法。故事教学法既符合新课标对小学英语教学的要求,又能最大限度地激发学生学习的主动性,提高学生学习热情和效率。本文首先阐述我国小学英语教学的现状和问题,论述了故事教学法在小学低中高年级的应用,分析了故事教学在小学英语教学实施中应该注意的问题,从而强调了故事教学法的重要性。最后,本文指出故事教学法的不足以及提出相关建议。

The Application of Story Teaching Method in Primary English Teaching Chapter One  Introduction

1。1 Background

Our country has set up English courses fully in primary school since 1999。 Nowadays, some cities offer English classes from first grade to college in primary school, and even some kindergartens offer English interest groups。 Since the fall of 2001, China’s Ministry of Education has required that English course be offered in the third grade of primary school at or above the country level on a national scale。 The primary English teaching develops quickly, but it starts late, and students lack English environment and English learning-ability in most areas。 In addition, teachers mainly use traditional teaching methods in English teaching。 Under the guidance of the teachers, the students can carry out mechanical practice and learning efficiency greatly reduced。
