1。1 Background

The flipped classroom is a kind of student-centered teaching mode。 Domestic researches and practice of the flipped classroom have just started, and is still in the stage of introduction。 The results of the search of the theme or key word about “the flipped classroom”, “upside down class” and “flip the class” on retrieval system of CNKI are up to 4177 papers, and from the time of publication, these papers mainly concentrated in 2013, 2014 and 2015, all of which demonstrate that the domestic researches and practice of flipped classroom has just started。 The flipped classroom for primary school English teaching is still in the development stage, and is not used widely in the teaching activities。

1。2 Definition of the flipped classroom

The flipped classroom is a teaching mode different from the traditional teaching and learning process。 It puts emphasis on re-planning the curricular and extracurricular learning time, and urging the students to make use of their spare time to learn concepts and knowledge, so as to complete the teaching mission and grasp the teaching contents。 At the same time, teachers and students interact with each other equally。 The teacher’s leading role is to answer students’ questions encountered in the study, organize students to discuss with each other and report the learning outcomes in the class to promote the teaching effects and shift learning initiative from teachers to students。
