A Research on Denominal Verbs from the Perspective of Cognitive Metonymy

I。Introduction

The development and change of language are clearly reflected in the change of vocabulary。 Meanwhile, the development of social language causes some changes。 A lot of new words, such as the elimination of old vocabularies, and the meaning of vocabulary have changed。 In today's society, class shift is a mainstream form of vocabulary changing。 Verbs play an indispensable role in people’s  daily  life。 A sentence  without  a verb is like sailing without a compass。 Verbs can be produced by many means, among which nouns are one of the most common sources。 The flexible use of vocabulary is a common  phenomenon  from  past  to now。 And it mainly exists in nouns, verbs and adjectives。 Moreover, a host of researches talked about that。 From the perspective of cognitive linguistics, language ability is closely related to the cognitive ability of human beings and the activities of the brain。 The use of language is essentially a kind of thinking activity, which is resulted from the action of the cognitive mechanism of the brain。 Denominal verbs intend to adapt to the communication of linguistic creativity, and their essence is a cognitive phenomenon which is a mechanism of metonymy and metaphor。 The results, therefore, want to find out the real  reasons  behind these denominal verbs, and take the research in cognitive linguistics as  a starting point。 With the development of cognitive linguistics, a new opportunity is created to the flexible use of vocabulary。 The cognitive linguistics is a branch of linguistic functionalism。 After more than half a century's development, it has become a relatively mature  subject and exerts a great influence。 In the past years, studies on denominal verbs take 文献综述

a high proportion, a host of which are discussed in the aspect of cognitive linguistics。 What's more, the process of denominal verbs is mainly analyzed in the field of cognitive metaphor。 From the perspective of grammar to the perspective of pragmatic, the use of nouns reflects the transformation of scholars from initial focusing on the language system itself to subsequent combination of context analysis and so on。 However, language ability and language use cannot be separated from the work of language users。 Therefore, the study of the use of nouns also starts from the analysis of the factors of the language users themselves。 In society, inpiduals have the need to express their own experience, feelings and ideas through language。 And the use of nouns is a kind of language innovation in order to meet the demand。 The main question of  the research in cognitive perspective is how to use the cognitive  mechanism of nouns。 But very few researches talk the subject from the perspective of cognitive metonymy。 Cognitive nouns mainly analyze denominal verbs and semantic categories of nouns, aiming to explore the denominal verbs in the cognitive mechanism behind。 The semantic interpretation of Chinese and English nouns is a process about the construction of people's cognitive ability and the understanding and operation of human brain。 Therefore, based on the perspective of cognitive linguistics and its framework, this paper will review some theoretical background。 Besides, some verbs will be pided into several types。 Then, their differences of syntactic structure and features will be discussed。 At last, the process of denominal verbs will be analyzed by using cognitive mechanism。来`自+优-尔^论:文,网www.chuibin.com +QQ752018766-
