the design of daylily theme park
Abstract：
Daylily is a kind of Chinese traditional perennial herbaceous plants. The
cultivation of daylily has a long history, creating profound cultural significance,loved
by people of all countries.Daylily is the one of three largest perennial flower all over
world(Hemerocallis,Hosta,iris).Daylily with Rich color,variety, has a high value of
humanistic spirit, landscape and ornamental value and other value. .In the foreign
countries,the number of varieties has reached thousands of species of
Hemerocallis .There are numerous research,aiming at developing the cultivation of
daylily.But China ,as the originating country, has failed to recognize the meaning of
development of Hemerocallis varieties, and the exploration of how to use in the
landscaping The significance of this thesis is in the design method of daylily theme
park ,plant application of Hemerocallis, promoting scientific research, disseminating
the culture of daylily. Based on the investigation of Hemerocallis varieties and their
landscape application, the thesis mainly elaborates the different Hemerocallis
varieties of flower color, ornamental characteristics,cultural history, and application
value .On the basis of inherent character of space, we propose several principles of
suitable design to the local conditions for shaping reasonable stratification of
landscapes. On the premise of fully utilizing ornamental characters of daylily, daylily
should be combined with different landscape elements, and a variety of landscape
plants should also be deployed to increase the annual ornamental value of daylily
theme garden. .And in the essay I put forward the idea "let the daylily combined with
traditional culture of Hemerocallis”of the daylily theme park.From the theory of
ecology and landscape art theory,the thesis specific analysis the use of the
Hemerocallis and the use with other garden ornaments like water ,rock,and
architecture .
