Synthesis of 2,4-dihydroxy-acetophenone- aminopyrimidine-zinc (II) complexe
Abstract: 2,4-Dihydroxy-acetophenone was synthesized by resorcinol and acetic acid under the condition of zinc chloride catalyst. The 2,4-dihydroxy-acetophenone- aminopyrimidine Schiff base was generated by the condensation of 2,4-dihydroxy-acetophenone and 2-aminopyrimidine. 2,4-Dihydroxy-acetophenone- aminopyrimidine-zinc (II) complex was synthesized by ligand and Zn(CH3COO)2•2H2O. The ligand and complex were preliminary characterization by the means of IR.
