Shared Ethernet Research and Simulation Based on OPNET
Abstract: This paper researches performance of shared ethernet using OPNET simulation software. Through the shared ethernet and switched ethernet modeling In the OPNET simulation software, the author constructs the ethernet virtual network and simulates the behavior of the virtual ethernet network. According to the analysis of the two simulation results we can draw the conclusion that the shared ethernet has certain advantages in the small and medium-sized network. This research has a certain reference value to the design of the small and medium-sized network, and also improves the scientifical-ness of network design.

引言
目前网络的结构和规模越来越复杂化，网络的应用也越来越多样化。只单纯地依靠以前的经验来规划和设计网络、研发网络设备、开发网络协议，这显然已经不能适应网络的发展，而且还限制着网络研究者的研究，因而就急需一种比较科学的方法来反映和预测网络的性能，随之网络仿真技术也就应运而生。网络仿真技术可以有效的提高网络规划、设计的可靠性和准确性，明显地降低网络投资风险，减少不必要的投资浪费。
本文使用的网络仿真软件是OPNET。OPNET以其独特的优点被网络研究者广泛的采用。
1. 概述
1.1 研究的意义
随着人们对网络依赖程度的增加，网络应用系统需求的增多，网络功能也变得复杂起来。网络的正常运行是用户上网的保证，网络性能影响到的是用户的工作效率，所以用户对网络的稳定性也提出了越来越高的要求。
因为规划设计出来的网络，保证不了其可行性，而网络仿真是一种可以有效提高网络可行性的方法，所以可以通过OPNET网络仿真软件对共享式以太网进行仿真，了解共享式以太网的性能，为网络研究者提供一定的参考价值。
1.2 论文研究的主要内容
本文以OPNET网络仿真软件为平台，对共享式以太网的性能进行了分析，介绍了共享式以太网的组建方式、拓扑结构等。
