A Research on Revised Liyuanchun
Abstract: In recent years, to enhance audience rating and increase advertising revenue, all TV media are sparing no effort to revise their programs. As a brand program of Henan TV, Liyuanchun experienced brand new revision from 2011 to 2012. However, after the revision, audience rating lowered and lots of problems appeared. Through analysis, factors have been found: the competition system is complex and play fans’ enthusiasm for participation lowers; the program becomes increasingly various and is separated itself from the play-based principle; the hosting style is simplex and lacks features. In reference to these problems, the paper makes following proposals: Liyuanchun should combine with new media, make innovation in respect of selection mode, and broaden the channel of play fans’ participation in competition; it should be anchored in play, abandon vulgar entertainment, and target the program positioning; besides, it should lay the roots in audiences, improve hosting style, cater to audiences’ aesthetic characteristics, and regain the support of play fans, so as to strive for its long-lasting brand status in the fierce competition.
