中英动物词汇含义对比分析

Abstract Animal words are the words, phrases and other idioms about animals. Animal word appears in Chinese and English continually. Through the historical precipitation, it carries rich cultural information of different nations. This paper will start from the literature review and use the way of contrastive analysis and case study, analyzing the theoretical basis about the study of animal idioms and culture, the same and differences of animal words between Chinese and English, and the main cultural differences. Then it can help people to study English better and make cross-cultural communication successfully.
