    English belongs to the Indo-European family of languages, while Chinese belongs to the Sino-Tibetan family of languages. There are so many differences in the linguistic structure between English and Chinese. Therefore ,it is unworkable to translate just according to the literal meaning and form .In order to translate an effective way ,translators need to convert some parts of speech in the original text to other parts of speech ,which belong to the target language ,which on the premise of reproducing the original text information accurately.

    Translation is the most direct and effective way in the process of communication between different languages and cultures. In E-C translation , how to grasp the key point of transformations between two languages is particularly important .The main concept of this   paper includes the meaning of translation, conditions and some techniques of part of speech in E-C translation , which analyses the characteristics and skills of part of speech conversion in E-C translation , contributes to the effective translation practice and to improve the quality of translation , makes it easier for readers to understand ,and makes the original information can be accepted more accurately and effectively. The method of conversion of part of speech in E-C translation avoids the wrong tendency of europeanization of Chinese language and makes the translation more smooth .People from different countries are influenced by different social backgrounds and thinking modes, which causes certain difficulties to the translation practice when used by people from different cultural backgrounds .
