摘要经济全球化使英语成为国家间的重要交流工具,也使得学生英语学习能力的培养与提高成为当今教育的重要任务。由于小学阶段是提高学生英语学习能力的关键时期,所以有必要研究激发小学生英语学习动机的策略。本论文采用观察法和文献综述法对小学生英语学习动机的特点进行总结,并对影响小学生英语学习动机的因素进行归纳,从而得出培养小学生英语学习动机的方法与策略。本文的研究在一定程度上有助于培养小学生的英语学习兴趣,增强小学生英语学习的积极性,提高其英语学习的效率。49934

Abstract With the rapid development of economic globalization, English has become an essential communication tool among nations. And the cultivation and improvement of students’ English learning ability have become an important task in the education. Since  the primary stage is a critical period to improve students’ English learning ability, it is necessary to find out strategies of stimulating pupils’ English learning motivation. Adopting methods of observation and literature review, this paper sums up characteristics of pupils’ English learning motivation, finds out factors affecting their English learning motivation, and proposes some useful methods and strategies to cultivate pupils’ English learning motivation. To some degree, this paper can help teachers cultivate pupils’ English learning motivation, enhance their activity of English learning, and improve their efficiency of English learning.

I. Introduction

In the primary school, learning motivation is an important factor to influence pupils’ English learning behavior and learning effect (Chen 182). At present, domestic scholars have taken quite a few researches on motivational strategies. But these researches usually focus on enterprise workers or personnels of school in management. These researches about education teaching incentive strategies are so scanty. And the study of the incentive policies of the elementary English teaching is also devoid. In this thesis, the author will think further about the incentive policy to improve pupils’ English learning motivation in primary school. And the author will explore the influence of the application of simulating pupils’ English learning motivation.
