摘要在英语学习中,人们逐渐地开始意识到阅读能力的关键性,以及它对其他各项语言技能的作用的影响。要使初中生的阅读浏览才能提高,在打好言语根底的同时,增加学生的文化背景知识就显得极为重要了。本文发现了当前初中英语教学中存在的主要弊端,在此基础之上,经过引见剖析并解释阅读理解和文化背景知识的关系,强调了文化背景知识在初中英语阅读中的功能及特点,并提出在初中英语教学中增强文化背景知识的方法,以提高初中生阅读理解能力,并对初中英语教学做出改善。83429

Abstract In English learning, people are becoming more and more clearly aware of the importance of reading ability, as well as its effect on other language skills。 In order to make the junior middle school students’ English reading competence perfect, we should have a solid language foundation and increase the students’ cultural background knowledge as well。 This paper’s major problem is to analyze the current junior middle school teaching。 It focuses on the role of cultural background knowledge in reading through introducing the relations between cultural background knowledge and reading comprehension; stress its’ importance in junior English reading; propose the methods to strength the students’ awareness of cultural background。 So that the junior middle school student’s reading ability can be improved。 Therefore, the teachers level of English teaching will be perfect。

On the Role of Cultural Background in Junior Middle School English Reading Comprehension

I。 Introduction

In the way of English learning reading comprehension is in a great big deal。 If the students’ reading competence has been improved, there is without any doubt the students can get it’s inner information。 Both of them are related tightness。 Cultural background knowledge can helps people accurately understand the hiding meaning of an article。 We have found an appearance in English teaching in the schools, the majority of the students couldn’t have a full understand of the reading without the teachers’ help。 Mainly reason is that they absence of the connected cultural background。 Therefore, on the way of teaching in junior school, teachers should not only analyze the grammar of the sentences to the students, but also focus on cognition and understanding of the whole article。 Especially of the hidden meaning of the paper, which covered the author’s age, author’s thoughts and related background knowledge。 It is of great help to improve students’ reading ability when expanding student’s cultural background knowledge。
