Title Study of The Impact of Leisure Behavior Choices on The Community Empty-nesters’ Physical and Mental Conditions
——A Case Study of Empty Nesters in Yingxuan Community
Abstract
With the rising proportion of empty nesters, the empty-nester families will become the main form of the family of the elderly. The empty-nesters’ use of leisure time, the variety of leisure behavior choices and their influences on olds’ physical or mental conditions increasingly become the focus of the study of realizing old recreation. This paper first discusses the leisure literature gradually developed in recent years for better understanding of the leisure-related arguments, then summarizes some research on community empty-nesters’ physical and mental conditions , outlines information obtained from the survey on the leisure behavior choices as well as the physical and mental condition of empty-nesters and analyzes and summarizes the relevant theoretical basis to understand the impact of the choice of leisure behavior on empty-nesters. Finally it proposes some suggestions to help improve the quality of life for the elderly and leisure recommendations to promote their physical and mental health.
