In general, under the influence of such teaching and class modes, students are led to a wrong place. In their mind, about study they think teachers are authorities. What they need to do is to conform to teachers and receive knowledge passively. These result in that students regard grades as the only purpose of their study. They receive prearranged knowledge passively, not participate in it actively. It is the reason why learning knowledge and skills are not improved at the same time. In oral English teaching, students devote whole time to grammar study and examination. They don’t have the skill to handle English knowledge systematically to communicate in the foreign culture.
