摘要对于外国友人来说，英语公示语作为一种最为便捷的信息媒介，能够指导他们在中国境内学习、旅行、经商。因而，公示语的英译变得尤为重要。然而，公示语的误译现象可谓随处可见，这是个亟待解决的问题。本文从英语公示语接受者的角度出发，以周口市公示语的英译为例，指出了在当前这一阶段的研究中存在的一些不足之处，并对以后公示语的英译策略的采用提出了一些建议，借此来促进公示语的英译越来越规范化。83728

Abstract As for the foreign friends, English public signs are the most convenient information media to guide for their studying, touring and trading within the territory of China。 As a result, the English translation of public signs should be paid more attention。 While, the wrong English translation of public signs can be found everywhere and this should be a set of troubles needed to be settled。 From the perspective of English receptors, this paper mainly explores the English translation of public signs in Zhoukou city。 Besides, this paper also indicates the restriction in the current study and the suggestions for the study in future, so that it can do a favor for the Chinese-English signs regulations development。
