The study of the electrochemical preparation of imidazolium ionic liquids
Abstract:Looking for an environmentally friendly, is conducive to the reaction medium and the solvent control is an urgent need to solve Chemistry problems. Ionic liquids meet this need, is growing rapidly, is considered to be following the supercritical CO2 after the "new generation of green solvents." This paper studies the electrochemical preparation of imidazolium ionic liquids preparation process, and by comparison with the conventional manufacturing method to optimize chemical processes, and through experiments we found better process conditions are: cell material of PVC, electrolysis electrode material is graphite material, the current is constant current 0.8A, cell temperature ≤ 40 ℃, the anode liquid bromine ethyl-3 - methyl imidazole solution: the cathode liquid aqueous acetic acid feed molar ratio = 1:1.2, 1-ethyl -3-methylimidazolium acetate purity of 95% or more, and the halogen content of 1%.
