Title Direction Sign System Planning in Public Areas of Urban Rail Transit Station
Abstract
Direction sign in public areas of urban rail transit station has a
significant impact on passenger flow organization. This article analyzes
the direction sign and researches its classification. First of all, we
classify it by different expressions, oriented demand and information
performance status. Next, we analyze the influence of direction sign on
streamline organizations and passengers psychological, location of
direction sign and Information performance status’ influence on passenger
will be analyzed, too. Then, according to the research above, we put forward
the process of direction sign system planning method in public areas of
urban rail transit station, and work out the design method of planning
scheme. Afterwards, an evaluation system to direction sign will be built,
after that a method of evaluation will be proposed. At last, we evaluate
the direction sign system in Xinjiekou station of NanJing Metro, and give
the advices for it to improve. This article does a research on direction
sign system planning in public areas of urban rail transit station, and
it has reference value to a certain extent.
