The synthesis and application of Multi-substituted biaryl compounds
Abstract: Several C18 dibenzocyclooctadiene lignans have been isolated from plants of Schizandraceae and exhibited some pharmacological effects such as antioxidant, antihepatitis, antihepatotoxic, and antilipid peroxidative activities. As a result, many chemists devoted themselves to the synthesis of these compounds. The dissertation mainly focused on the synthesis of dibenzocyclooctadiene lignans, andschizanrin H,getting the method by using enantiomeric N-tert-butanesulfinamine as the resolving reagent.In this way,we can obtain a series of axially chiral biaryl dials with high enantiomeric excess,which can be used as the raw-material of the Schizanrin H.
Based on the method for efficiently constructing axially chiral biaryls through nickel-catalyzed asymmetric Ullmann coupling reaction previously developed in our group. To start with biaryl dials, we firstly explored tthe synthetic routes with Mukaiyama aldol reaction as the key steps, respectively, and synthesized two epimers of schizanrin H.
